Psychological Counselling

Is something bothering you that is negatively affecting your studies? Don't despair, you can talk to us about your issues. A free psychological counselling service is available for MU students, with up to seven face-to-face or online consultations provided by professional psychologists and therapists.

When it is appropriate to use the service

It is okay to ask for support if:

  • you often feel anxious, sad, or overwhelmed,
  • you have long-term problems with sleep or concentration,
  • you feel isolated or have difficulty connecting with others,
  • you lack meaning and fulfillment in your current studies,
  • you notice changes in your appetite, motivation, or daily habits,
  • you find yourself in a difficult life situation, in shock after losing someone or something,
  • you are concerned about your mental health and want to talk to someone about it.

Notice: We do not deal with urgent or psychiatric problems and do not offer long-term psychotherapy. If you are dealing with psychiatric or urgent problems, there is Psychological Crisis Centre at the Faculty Hospital Brno, Phone: +420 547 212 333 or you can contact Modrá linka .

How and where consultations take place

We offer individual in-person consultations or online meetings with a psychologist or therapist. The consultation lasts 50 minutes. The meetings usually take place in the consultation rooms of the Student Advisory Centre at Žerotínovo náměstí 9, but some consultations also take place outside these premises, so we recommend that you carefully read the instructions in the email confirming your reservation. We offer consultations in Czech, English, or Ukrainian (and in French if necessary).
