Mgr. Jitka Bednářová, Ph.D.
My original education and profession is a Bohemian and philosopher, university teacher and researcher. I have written a monograph on Josef Florian and prepared a number of works of Czech literature for publication. I received my doctorate in comparative literature from the Sorbonne in Paris. At the same time, I am a therapist in depth-dynamic training focused on trauma and its intergenerational transmission, and I have my own practice. I love to delve deeply into literary and philosophical works, and I equally enjoy uncovering the subtle happenings within the human being. I bring to my work with people everything that has shaped me myself: my roots with my grandparents in the Highlands, my experience of the world of science, thinking and writing, and my long stays abroad. The fact that I am a mother of three children, who every day confront me with unexpected and uncharted topics, is also crucial for me.
I believe that it always makes sense to strive to improve our life situation. I offer a sensitive and impartial approach where we delve into a client's difficulties without prejudice or judgement. The therapeutic relationship itself is healing. I respect each person's specific values and meanings and guarantee complete confidentiality.
